Pond House

In the house

  • For two, large terrace, fireplace
  • Kitchenette, bathroom

Built the old way: solid walls of thick, heavy logs, the timber from Estonian forest. There is no drywall in this house.

The Pond House stands at the water, on the bank of its own pond. Inside is one open room: a living room with a green sofa and a carved roof beam, a fireplace beneath a driftwood sculpture, and glass walls that open onto lawn and forest. The kitchen corner has a gas hob and a retro fridge. The bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows onto the meadow.

In front is a broad timber deck with loungers and seating under a pergola — morning coffee over the water, the evening outdoors. The house is for two.

It is the quietest of the three and suits a couple. The sauna is in the Sauna House only and is not included with this house — write to us if you would like to use it. The Pond House closes for the winter, from 1 December to 31 March; the first night of the new season is 1 April. The Lahemaa trails, manors and coast are as near as they are from the other houses.
